The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is the ‘go to’ place for youth entrepreneurship.
As a national charity, they are dedicated to growing our nation’s economy one young entrepreneur at a time.
They look at character not collateral, when providing youth, age 18-34, with pre-launch coaching, business resources, start-up financing and mentoring, to help them launch and sustain a successful entrepreneurial business.
Whether you dream of owning your own business, need help getting your business started or want to expand your business, the Aboriginal Business Service Network (ABSN) can help.
They provide free assistance to new and existing Aboriginal entrepreneurs across Canada.
The ABSN in Manitoba is operated in coordination with the Canada/Manitoba Business Service Centre and Community Futures Manitoba.

Two Day Workshop Outline
Day 1 Morning:
Self Assessments; profiles of an entrepreneur, group activities, getting started & getting organized and getting going.
Day 1 Afternoon:
Business planning workshop includes; business plan overview, reserving and registering a business name, GST/PST overview and much more
Day 2 Morning:
CYBF (Canadian Youth Business Foundation) presentation on funding opportunities for small business startups including discussions on credit & scoring and how it affects business – followed by our “Social Media Marketing” session.
Day 2 Afternoon:
Website design seminar – workshop on how to compile data, information and content for a new website.
